About Fundación Por Los Animales

For 19 years, Fundación Por Los Animales has worked to address one of Puerto Rico's most urgent animal welfare challenges: animal overpopulation.

Across the island, more than one million dogs and cats are estimated to struggle for survival on the streets, facing hunger, disease, abandonment, and preventable suffering. We believe the most effective and humane solution is prevention.

Through high-volume spay and neuter programs, education, and community outreach, we address the root cause of animal homelessness and create lasting change for animals and communities across Puerto Rico.

Since 2007, our programs have helped more than 19,000 dogs and cats receive spay and neuter services, preventing thousands of unwanted litters.
